Stainless 316 Pipes and Tubes are probably the second most commonly used commercial grade of stainless steel supplied into numerous industry sectors. This 316 grade has excellent corrosion resistance in ordinary atmospheric conditions. The SS 316 pipe and tubes also have excellent corrosive resistance in arduous environments such as saltwater and environments where resistance to chloride corrosion is needed.<\/p>\n

The SS 316 Pipes and Tubes have high creep strength at elevated temperatures. The addition of molybdenum improves the general corrosion and chloride pitting resistance of Stainless Steel 316 pipes<\/a>. SS 316 Pipes increase power, but should not be used in applications where corrosion by sensitization can be expected.<\/p>\n

Where are SS 316 Pipes & Tubes used?<\/h2>\n

Owing to the many benefits, these grades of pipes and tubes<\/a> are used in different industries such as textile operations, breweries, oil and gas processing, construction, food processing, pharmaceuticals, water treatment plants, fertilizers and pesticides, chemical applications, automotive components, and so on.<\/p>\n
