• Thick-walled expansion joints are the simplest type of expansion joints. They are compact and require almost no additional space beyond the bell's length and welded or flanged ends for installation. They have the added advantage of not changing the direction of flow. When it comes to small thermal movements and where proper mounting and handling is possible, a single shaft below is the most economical solution.
• Thick Wall Expansion Joints are normally supplied without any end connections because it is easier to weld the end fittings to them by relatively less skilled welders.
